Ackerman’s Fine Art, LLC specializes in important American and European paintings and watercolors from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. The gallery is located in Purchase, New York, just 30 minutes north of New York City by rail or car. Ackerman’s is committed to serving the new and experienced collector in the acquisition and disposition of investment quality American & European fine art. Ackerman’s takes pride in helping our clients build and prune their collection’s and seeks to create client confidence through expertise, service and confidentiality.
Ackerman’s Fine Art purchases, sells, consigns, and acts as broker for it’s clients in accordance with their individual needs. Ackerman’s Fine Art also offers assistance to individuals and corporate clients in their fine art transactions with private parties, other galleries and at auction. Additionally, Ackerman’s handles estate sales, helps clients find the art of desired artists, and lends support with restoration, framing, lighting, storage, and appraisals.
Not Your Typical Gallery
At Ackerman’s Fine Art we seek to achieve a high level of client satisfaction by understanding their goals and needs. Operating as a private gallery affords us many advantages, a few of which include better pricing and a higher level of service and confidentiality. We take pride in offering quality products and services, and like the big auction houses, we guarantee the authenticity of every sale.
Ackerman’s understands that buying expensive art online can create a high-level of trepidation. To put buyers at ease, we afford them the opportunity to return a purchase immediately after delivery if not satisfied for any reason. Ackerman’s also affords sellers the option of having their paintings insured (prior to shipping) by our own corporate carrier at no extra charge. Seller’s have direct contact with the insurer prior to shipping.
For those seeking further protection, we offer the option of utilizing an escrow account with our board certified legal counsel. Ackerman’s will fund the account prior to your painting being shipped. Once a painting is received and approved, legal counsel will promptly release funds. Our goal at Ackerman’s is to provide you with a fair, safe, and hassle free buying and selling fine art venue.
Because our customers sometimes choose to exchange or up-grade their holdings, we will accept purchases from our gallery back “in-trade” at its original purchase price (Note: will be accepted in-trade from the original purchaser only, and must have not been offered at auction since the date of purchase).

About the Owner
Kenneth Ackerman was a trader and manager on Wall Street from 1985 until 2001, working at Charles Schwab (formerly Mayer & Schweitzer) and Knight Securities, both publicly traded companies. Since leaving Wall Street Kenny has been an avid collector, scholar and dealer of American & European fine art. During his 16 years on Wall Street he never received a complaint, fine, or otherwise. Kenny is still registered as a broker in good standing with FINRA, the largest independent securities regulator in the U.S.
